Doris has been writing for many years. She wrote many treatment programs in the years she was a therapist. She played with poetry and short stories for a long time also. The joy of words, both as a teacher and therapist, has led to an interest in writing and in 2022 she wrote and published her first book on Amazon. The book is very personal and took a long time to write. It is featured on the home page of this website.
Doris is currently working on another book. This one is about her work writing and implementing the first Addiction program in a women’s correctional institution in Colorado. It is an interesting story about being the first of its kind program and the ups and downs of providing therapy in a correctional institution. Hopefully will be published in the spring of 2025.

Doris is also working on a children’s book about the small school she attended as a child. Look for some news soon about the illustrations for this project.
